Following the meeting 14/10/20 this the place to discuss any potential ideas, schemes, plans and requirements going forward for the short to medium term.
As with the current EPIC community how can smaller jobs/ideas maybe not completely Events focused be shared?
For example we have been looking at putting the container+ worth of Christmas decorations/lights we have to use making door wreaths or providing tree decorating services for retail or domestic. What we don’t have is the workshop space or transport in place anymore? In these times im sure someone would have a workbench they could rent out for a week for creative type projects or a van that could do a days worth of multi drops.
With many being forced into non event roles at this time I think it is key that they are not stigmatised or left out. I completely see that the clue is in the EPIC title but times must. Im not talking about Fatima retraining in Cyber but someone needs a hand insulating their loft can we put that out on the forum? Personally I used to do cctv/AV installations which the skills mean I’m pretty good at problems solving home systems. Sorting out rat nests of cables. Telling someone what out of that box of cables is actually of any use anymore? Wether based on monetary or bartering system.
EPIC community coming together to small pop up things. Under an EPIC name A small pot which is in place for a small group to potentially invest in the upstart. Like Ian B’s example of the coffee shack with entertainers as an example £100 of capital to buy the coffee and print the menus etc. These could be on application/business plan which could be as simple as an online form with the roles/skills divvied among the EPIC community. or group funded amonst those involved and the taking divvied similarly.
